In Nevada last week, the police showed how to handle these idiots.

@macomputersuck They weren't peaceful when they tried to damage his car and impede his progress. They idiots handing onto the hood should be sent to juvenile detention camp.

secretsuncovered4283 So, it's obvious to everyone they are risking death. No different than people who parachute from tall buildings, really.

@heidenburg5445 What kind of thermometer did you use to measure the temperature 100,000 years ago. You understand that statement marks you as an unserious person?
1
@subspace666 Perhaps the best thing to do is put them over your knee and spank them and tell them they should be studying for school, not stopping adults from maintaining the bubble they live in .

@jessestreet2549 a brown tsunami. Listen to yourself. You sound fairly ridiculous.
1
@jessestreet2549 A seed that you find can tell you the temperature from 140,000 years ago? Do you believe and have faith in science?
1
@LL-LLLL9 You've had bonnets for thousands of year? Did you steal them from the Irish?
1
@jessestreet2549 well, yes, but you can't pin it down to a year, or a decade a century or even a millennia (or longer) or even a locality. There are a lot of reasons why plants may grow or not grow, including precipitation or volcanic activity to name but two. Trying to stretch a hypothesis into statements like this is the mark of someone who doesn't understand science, and frankly makes the speaker look ridiculous.

@TEMPLAR969 that's the magic thing with the phony "Climate Crisis". No matter what the weather is today, you can blame it on the climate crisis.
1
@LL-LLLL9 My Aunt Mabel has had bonnets for millennia. They never suited her.

@jessestreet2549 Nothing I said was cherry picked. You said they looked at seeds, I pointed out it's meaningless for reasons of: 1) Geologic action 2) Differing climates 3) Inexact dating, even using carbon 14 4) Inability to understand local conditions and why they would change. Believe if you want, but don't ever criticize someone who believes in God, because it's essentially the same thing.

@jessestreet2549 I appreciate that you agree your answer was nonsense. You've learned something today. You're welcome!

@vendettarising what you mean, is "see what the court says to their parents". Perhaps the courts will rule the driver was just taking out the trash.

@andyash5675 "What happens though if they fall of the side of the car and someone else runs them over?" You'd assume they were trying to commit suicide.
1
@andyash5675 Juries decide guilt or innocence based on instruction from the judges Judges determine if the charges are appropriate. "What I am certain about, is that the jury won't think like you do" And the idiots trying to kill themselves lying in the roadway should probably avoid juries that are filled with commuters who, y'know, have adult responsibilities, rather than fantasies about a climate crisis.

@TheKnightsShield If someone is jumping on the hood of a moving car, they have made a choice. Doesn't matter if it was for a stupid reason (as in this case), or what they believed was a noble reason. What you're suggesting is that a person who does something knowing there are potentially fatal consequences bears no responsibility for their own actions. What a terrible way to run society, that people have no responsibility for themselves, that they are free to engage in any sort of reckless behavior and that if something bad happens it's not their fault. It's the mindset of a child.
