@LenQuerido You're long past being able to do it. You can't tax your citizens anymore, and they won't give up their nice government benefits. For your vision to come true, it would take 5-10 years and you'd be faced with a population that would be rioting because of the loss of benefits.

Oh, I think it could very well happen. Europe has no ability to defend itself, and they don't even have the industry or money to do it unless they drop their social programs and focus on defense. That will never happen because the "newcomers" will riot and burn down cities. Europe is screwed and they did the old fashioned way.... one election at a time, and a religious belief in human global warming. Innovation no longer comes from Europe. The US will never send troops to Ukraine. Not in a million years. Why you're supporting the little comedian in public and then trying to figure out how to get rid of him privately is the biggest hypocrisy in the EU.
