After you listen to Frampton Comes Alive, you cannot go back to the studio versions. The studio versions are slower and lack the energy of the live version, which is a big part of the appeal of that album. In fact it's one of the few live albums that pull that off. At first, I wouldn't listen to the album because every live album up to that point (for me) was a huge disappointment, but after the guitar player in our band forced me to listen to it, we did covers of about 4 of these songs. Still love the album to this day, although my adult kids look at me funny when I rock out to the song.
