@inevitable48 For Hello Fresh, it still takes you as much time as preparing it yourself. And since they only give you enough food for the meals you have you don't get the benefit of leftovers for the next meal. If you went to the grocery store and just bought the more of the ingredients you'd have 2-3 nights of leftovers for roughly the same price which are simpler to reheat than preparing fresh. And with the internet there's plenty of new recipes to try.

Brian Choi has it wrong. The problem with the meal kits besides their high expense is that they offer better deals to new customers than loyal customers, so you are always better off switching. And by the way, it costs more than get meal kits than just buying the ingredients at the store. It's not even close. They are their own worst enemy. P.S. We tried Blue Apron, and we stopped because *the food tastes exactly the same. It's strange, but the spices were exactly the same.
