@amzarnacht6710 The talent from LA will not travel to Texas. From a creative perspective it would be career death, since you don't have the movie business like L.A.

@HienTruong-hj3qf Well, the bill doesn't actually say "don't say gay". It simply says you shouldn't have sex and gender talks with children under 8 years old. That's pretty common sense.

@HienTruong-hj3qf "regardless"? Teachers have no business talking about sex and gender with little kids in kindergarten. Teachers should be focused 100% on reading, writing, math & literature. If you get to the point where you want to talk to tiny children about sex, you're in a dark place.

People who don't think pitching gender identity to 5 year olds is a normal thing to do.

@e.blue37 Yes, but few with the tax structure and infrastructure available in central Florida.

"There are over 2,000 other business that have this EXACT SAME PRIVILEGE Disney had" The Reedy Creek district was unique because it allowed Disney to self govern. And it was based on building the full-time City in Epcot which they never did. So they were in breach of the conditions around Reedy Creek anyway.

@princesspiper3 You funny.

@AngelaKSellsHomes Another troll who has no idea what "Fascist" means.

@jake4175 They don't have free unfettered speech. How do you think they banned cigarette ads? Or prevent companies from lying in commercials to sell their product? They have limited speech rights.

@jake4175 "There’s a difference between spreading false information and voicing political opinions." You mean like calling it the "don't say gay" bill, when it never said that? Disney was in a precarious position with Reedy Creek, because they never lived up to their side of bargain in building their "City of the Future" as part EPCOT. That city was the whole rationale for giving them so much autonomy. In that situation, getting into a political fight with the government was dumb, because they were vulnerable on RCID. Yes, Disney could say whatever they want, but why do it? Corporations exist for the benefit of their shareholders. They should ask the board and their primary shareholders if they agree with their decision to attack the governor and legislator is a smart one. And even if they find a sympathetic judge, do you think that's the end of it? Iger and the whole lot of incompetents running disney should have been gone a year ago.

@heethn Anywhere. Do a little more digging. In reality nobody wanted to move away from LA for career reasons; if they moved anywhere else, they'd no options when they decide to move to another company.

Completely fake news. The reason for scrapping the $900M Florida campus is happening for two reasons: 1) Iger hated the plan, so once Chapek was fired, that decision was made. And more to the point 2) Disney was expecting it's LA talent to move to Florida, and everybody pretty much said no, so there was no support for the plan internally. It didn't help that Disney is having cash flow problems. Here's a more balanced discussion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GommV2FDmHE

Is there something so compelling there that they'd want to?
