The idea that the Democrats will magically get Joe to quit and a new candidate could smoothly slide into place and have a chance to win is not credible for the following reasons: 1) The $200M campaign funds that Biden has raised can only be given to Kamala Harris. Would she fare any better than Biden? 2) If it's anyone else, they would have to begin fund raising right now, because the election season starts this weekend. 3) Speaking of "anyone else", how would the Democrats find a candidate who could please the AOC wing, the Southern Wing, the New York wing, and the normal wing. They'll fight over that for a month at a minimum 4) Would the new person have a chance to beat Trump? Who... Gavin? Hillary? Gretchen ? Big Mike? 5) Look at the calendar There's so little time left that they need to decide right now who is going to be the candidate, raise money and become a credible candidate.
    2
