  1. Technically the Spanish "owned" Mexico at the time and they lost to the US. Mexico doesn't have a historic claim on the US West, since they weren't an independent country when it was taken from Spain.

  5. Let's be clear here, the US West was only part of Mexico for less than 70 years and even then under Spanish rule. Mexico has no historic claim on any part of the US. And she will take the illegals back, like it or not. You've gotta love Mexican Americans, they are the salt of the earth, they are family oriented and largely Christian. A perfect addition to the melting pot that we call the United States.
