  1.  @brittislove  The effects of the pandemic are, in my uneducated opinion, coming close to an end It was only this year (FY25) that we've stopped sending money to states and local government and a lot of states now have huge budget holes since the federal government stopped sending billions to these governments. Every blue state (and some red states) has been on a steady diet of federal government sugar for five years and they will either have to cut spending or raise taxes.

  3. Every dollars we "spend" on our government is money that isn't doing anything other than improving the GDP numbers. If you remember when Reagan got into office, the same thing happened due to the idiotic economic policies of the Carter administration. What's worse is as Greg points out, all the job growth was giving illegals government jobs.
