  1. Kaepernick QUIT football on his own. He wasn't fired. He wasn't let go. He quit because his contract was based on performance and he could no longer play at an effective level. Check his stats when he last was in the league. I would also point out that AT LEAST two teams offered him a job, but he would have to compete to win the starting QB role. He declined every one.
