  1. Wait... the party of cat ladies doesn't appeal to men? That seems unpossible! Here's the issue for Democrats. They've spent the last 8 years classifying people based on a victim hierarchy, and the biggest oppressors are white men. To appeal to men and young voters, they would have to essentially reject everything they've done for the past 8 years. If they tried to do that, then the women who control the party would reject that out of hand. So they're caught in a dilemma: rejecting the past runs into the problem that they would lose the support of the grievance groups that make up the party today.
