In world war 2, we had 18 and 19 year olds flying fighters planes in Europe and off carrier decks in the Pacific. Most people don't understand Musk picked geniuses who figure stuff out on their own. And yea, some of them are 19 years old.

And surely you realize that China had full access to the Treasury system in the last few months of 2024? The incompetent Biden administration admitted that on the way out the door. Not a peep from you when that happened Nick, but you're worried about the richest man in the world taking out a loan for a couch.

@stevensgarage6451 That's a pretty dumb post. Going through the general ledger of the country using software is not really genius; it should have been done 20 years ago every single year! As to cutting employees, it happens all the time if you're working in a real job. Federal workers keep telling us they're underpaid, well this will push them to get all those highly paid jobs in private industry. The cult is the people who are angry that DOGE found the government fraud and waste, and not angry at the actual fraud and waste in the government.

These federal workers have a highly overinflated opinion of their value to their bosses. And really, they always claim they're underpaid compared to private industry (even though they know they're not). So if they're so highly valuable, they could run to private industry and make more, right? right? Don't know what "PIVOT" is. As to the old dude claiming "this is a coup"..... Trump was elected...he has to explain how Trump could be starting a coup against himself. Anything in the executive branch is under the control of the President. I will also say that Northern Virginia in particular is very sensitive to federal cuts. In fact, there's NEVER been federal cuts in workforce. It will be interesting to see what happens to the DC area over the next four years.
