  1. What really sealed the deal with the public was the 2000GT's starring role in the Bond film "You Only Live Twice" with unique convertible model (made for the movie). Astute marketing by Toyota. I remember seeing it in the movie and wanted one. One of the prettiest cars of the day. The closest car to the look today is the Miata RF (Folding Roof verision).
