So to be clear, the supreme court mandate doesn't undo the "EV mandate", because the EPA didn't specifically mandate EV's. What they've done is they've set the MPG mandate so high for the fleet that it effectively makes EVs the only possible option to meet the MPG average. But it didn't magically go away. Someone with standing will have to take the EPA to court over this ruling, and who will do that? The car makers themselves are currently dependent on the Biden administration to continue subsidizing EV manufacturing and battery plants, so it will take a bold car maker to challenge the hand that's feeding them. In reality, it will take a change at the top of Executive Branch to make the EPA regulations go away. With that in mind, vote carefully and with an understanding of who supports an EV mandate.

@janedough6575 It's been a thing for 1,000 years; our system of laws is based on British Law. Standing is based on 4 tenants: 1) A plaintiff must show an interest that is recognized by the courts or by statute. 2) The plaintiff must have a real or a threatened harm ("injury") 3) The harm must be caused by the named defendant, not a third-party who acted independently. 4) A plaintiff must show that a favorable court decision will likely redress the harm.
