  1. The nuclear bombs of the 1940's pale in destructive energy to the hydrogen bombs in use today. The whole reason we worked on them is because it was decided that Atomic weapons (fisson only) were actually not feasible as a deterrent in any real sense since you'd require too many of them to do any real damage to an enemy.
