  1. Reparations would be illegal as they would violate the equal protection clause. Further no one born in the US who is alive has been a slave, and of course no one born in the US was a slave owner. As to the "economy was built on slavery". No. No it wasn't. The bulk of this economy was built in the 20th century using immigrants from Europe. You're welcome. Finally, if we paid you 40 acres and a mule, would you shut up about about what happened to your distant ancestors? Or would you still demand more reparations and special privileges that no one else gets? We know the answer to that. Go live in another country if you can't get over it
