Batteries are not "green". They have a limited lifespan, extremely limited capacity and cannot economically be recycled at this point.

@stevemit2858 The point is EVs: * Are not better for the environment (in fact their environmental impacts are worse) * Are not cheaper than normal cars * Have significantly less range * Take an order of magnitude more time to to refuel * Struggle in the cold * Are for people who want to commute to work in a nearby town or city. The market has spoken. EV sales are down. Automakers are slowly getting rid of EV models, Tesla is in serious trouble. And it's highly likely all federal incentives will go away in 2025.

@stevemit2858 extremely limited capacity of at best 35mpg lol. My Mazda gets 50 MPG giving me a range of over 600 miles, and it can be refilled in 2-3 minutes. And it doesn't need to be recycled (and most EV batteries are not recycled) EVs are interesting technology, but the current technology is a dead end. Maybe by 2050 or 2060 they''ll be ready for general use. But now, they're for people who just drive into town to pick up some bread and sandwich meat.
