@1133saginaw that's completely incorrect. Zelenskyyy came to the US and reneged on the deal. He was asking for a security guarantee including US ground troops. The US is not sending ground troops to Ukraine. And he insisted he wants to defeat Russia. It's time for the little dictator to go.

@melanytodd2929 He's not playing with a full deck, anyway.

What Zelenskyyy is asking for was worse than it sounded. He was looking for a security guarantee that would commit US troops to fighting Russia, and no mother or father in the US will let their sons die for Ukraine and especially not for the little weasel Zelenskyyy who is a crooked as the day is long in summer.

@flinx649 In the US we are amazed that the EU has a reality of invaders from the middle east coming to their shores illegally and they cannot politically push back against that. But they view Putin a threat, even though Russia lacks the GDP to do more than hold the land in Ukraine. Assuming the people in Europe aren't dolts, one has to conclude we're not being told what's really going on in the EU and why they're pushing hard for a war with Russia.

@Chuck44442 In the US Zelenskyyy has been exposed and most people in the US are against committing any further resources to Ukraine. I wouldn't even sign a deal with him now because it's unclear if the Ukrainians support him at all. And he's refused to reinstate elections (which makes him a dictator).

@ Some people do post silly stuff, and there is also an element of paid posters, although it's likely there are less of these people than we imagine.

The thing is, none of them did more than platitudes. On that part. GB pledged $3B, but then later walked that back with an "only the the US goes along". Plus, Europe hasn't fought a war in 80 years; they have very little armament and it takes years to build that up. Any force Europe sent out there would be eaten alive by the Russians. It is odd that they consider Putin a bigger threat than the Islamic people arriving on their shores demanding to be fed, housed, and pampered. The Europeans can't even push back against that.

@jamesburke5873 That's perfect then. The US can pull out of NATO and the Europeans will be exposed.

@MechaBlaze53 Yes, because Zelensky is a dictator. He's cancelled elections and jailed opposition. He's stated he wants to defeat Russia. Which is impossible. So it's time for him to go. And yes, Putin was promised that NATO would not push eastward back in the 1990's, and Ukraine is pushing to become part of NATO. That's what precipitated the war. It's actually understandable. Even the US is pushing back against NATO expansion and if that happens, we'll simply leave NATO and let the EU fend for itself.
