  1. It is one of my favorites. The backstory was written by Heinlein, the action scenes are fun, Denise Richards is, well, Denise Richards, and it doesn't take itself too seriously. I'll always watch it if I see it on late night TV.

  2.  @piotrd.4850  Yes of course. But the backstory is Heinlein's. And it's still a good movie for the reason that TCD discusses. You can't make a film out of Heinlein's book because it's a treatise on the responsibilities of being a citizen in a free country, lightly disguised as a set of letters and events.
