  1. The reason why restaurant reservations are down in DC is because last year at the same time there was one of those "eat at our restaurant and we'll donate 50% of our profits to charity". People always go out for that. As to shutting the government down, Democrats will never do that because the party that shuts down the government always loses the midterms.

  2. Democrat mayors always do that because (a) they don't want to spend money on police (b) they don't want to spend money on prisons (c) they believe it's anti-minority and racist to do broken windows policing.
