  1. If you're planning to go to college and anticipate spending $80K on a degree (or more) do a week of research to understand the market for that degree. If someone tells you to "follow your heart" or "do what you love so it won't feel like work", they're lying to you. Marketing degrees are difficult to find a job that pays more than a Starbucks barista and if you're doing a internship, the company won't pay you for it.
