  1. What's driving up costs for normal cars is the manufacturers are selling EVs at a loss. Even though on average, the government is subsidizing each EV over $50K in direct and indirect subsidies. So what did the manufacturers do? They're subsidizing EV sales with normal car sales, raising the price anywhere from $5-20K. The quicker we eliminate these mandates from the federal government the quicker EVs will go away. It's not clear if the manufacturers will reduce prices of cars at that point. Common sense tells you they won't.
