@OGZackov Let me 'splain it. He was watching it and making an appearance, which is fine. He's the governor and it's important. But let's not pretend he was commanding the operation. Does that make more sense why it was a funny thing to say?

From Merriam-Webster 1. To watch over and direct (an undertaking, a group of workers, etc.) in order to ensure a satisfactory outcome or performance supervise example: He was hired to oversee the design and construction of the new library with 20 employees Seems like y'all are pretending to be outraged when people are mocking the TV anchor for incorrectly using the word that implied he was actually..... overseeing instead of the more accurate word watching
