@nicedoppy2077 All interesting stuff, and I'm not trashing New Mexico. But if you want to go to a top computer science school, and then work on Artificial intelligence, you'd have to leave the state.

The real reason you're not talking about is there's almost literally nothing going on in New Mexico. Albuquerque is more of a crossroads of interstate and rail than a real city, and most of the state is really just oil wells, cattle ranching and minerals. Most of the land is owned by extremely rich people (Ted Turner, for example, owns a big chunk of the state). I love the state (I backpacked for several weeks out there), but it's not a a state you'd consider living in.

@nicedoppy2077 Not much going on there. I love it, I've hiked in it extensively, but there are not many high-paying jobs, there effectively is no tech sector there, it's an interesting piece of America, and I suppose if I was born there I'd like it.
