I like that she calls him "Mayor Pete". I prefer the more accurate description "Pothole Pete", because he couldn't even fill a single pothole as mayor.

@devoidleaps4892 he's simply referring to our constitution, which is quite specific in limiting government power. Philosophically in our founding documents it's quite clear that rights are not granted by governments; to quote: "*[people's rights] are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed*" No doubt in the EU and Europe in general, you believe governments can do what they wish as long as the representatives were democratically elected.

@Dan-sc7us Well, Venezuela is an economic disaster brought on in no small part of nationalizing oil reserves and the oil industry. The idea that government would take "profits" from oil and distribute them to the people is so jejune and innocent one must assume you're either trolling or actually quite young.

@kevenbeene4585 Socialism is just like "Pyramid Power" in the 1970's and 80's. Pyramid Power was this believe that the ancients build pyramids because it could heal illness, sharpen razor blades (not kidding), preserve food. The trouble is there were so many rules (must be kept away from fluorescent lights, must be oriented a specific way, etc), that you could never actually follow the rules so there was always an excuse why it didn't work. Socialism is like that. There are some many pre-existing conditions for it to work (people must give up their ambition and become altruistic, you can't have people set up their own business without state oversight, you can't have other countries try to interfere with you, etc ), that there's always an excuse for why it didn't work.
