@Monkerey What he said is we can never move completely to renewable, that we always need things that don't depend on sunny days or windy shorelines. The only realistic alternatives we have right now are all hydrocarbon based. And if you really believe climate change is an "existential threat", then you have to be a big fan of nuclear.
