  1. The problem with Lithium batteries is they cannot overcome two significant drawbacks: 1) Poor energy density 2) You cannot charge lithium batteries quickly or you'll compromise their longevity. And to forstall your next "but they're improving..." they will, but it will be marginal gains. It's a SCIENCE problem not an engineering problem.
