@mrbill2600 Trump will lead to prosperity. Not so much for the other person.

Not a fan of LBJ, but his life story is amazing. If you get a chance to see his presidential library in UofT at Austin, it's up there with Reagan's and Nixon's library.

@johnreynolds2512 Trump was specifically a free speech and didn't try to expand the power of the executive branch. It was his predecessor that tapped the phones of reporters and admittedly governed with his pen and his phone when congress refused to act on his behalf.

@montrelouisebohon-harris7023 The legacy of FDR is a powerful central government and an unsustainable social security system.

@Goldenbane They have strayed far from their Jeffersonian roots. Like the difference between the sun and pluto.

@thumbob Yes. Vote for the guy who wants to end wars, not start them. As we age, our viewpoints change and we realize that war is a last resort, not a first resort. Which apparently is not believed by the current administration.

Three worst in modern times are easy: Carter, Obama, Biden. For best, you'd have to include Washington, Jefferson and Andrew Jackson in the discussion.

@thumbob So did every rich person from the south. So did most historical figures in the Bible. You cannot judge 300 year old people based on today's morality. The reverse is also true.

@thumbob The problem with GWB is he listened to Dick Cheney and started a war to spread democracy to an area of the world where it isn't the norm. We wasted trillions of dollars on a needless war and didn't listen to the general who said we'd have to stay for a decade. They fired him for that. And he was right. I rate him as mediocre for that reason.

@thumbob Fair enough, but the Act Prohibiting Importation of Slaves of 1807 had perverse incentives on the selling of human beings, and ironically made existing enslaved people more valuable. I suspect that played a role in a lot of perverse decisions that were made at that time.

@thumbob Ever wonder why there are no democrats on mount rushmore ? Actually no. It's self apparent.
