If you're not getting an Civil/Mechanical/Eletrical Engineering, Science (note: you'll need to get an advanced degree in most cases), Computer Science, Math, Business or Accounting degree, you're just creating a new hobby, not preparing for a career. The idea of "go with your heart" or "dream big" could be the most destructive thing to say to a young person trying to decide what to do.

  2.  @honeybunno  At one point in time, accounting/business degrees were 40% of all degrees earned at universities and college.
