At the end of life, people's best accomplishments are successful children.

He sounds like MSNBC. And that's not a compliment. He's completely in the crazy left echo chamber. And MSNBC is up for sale, btw. So it tells you that people have moved out of that echo chamger.

If Peter's analysis is taken at face value, doesn't that essentially discredit the whole notion that Russia has designs on all of Europe?
44
This kind of stupid talk from Peter really diminishes his credibility.
41
They are not a legitimate trading partner.
28
@charlesmiv3842 No lies, just peter's opinions which makes him not objective.
27
No worries, sales of EVs in general are down in the US since they're a solution without a problem.
26
Actually many of the regional banks have the same vulnerability as SVB and for many of the same reasons. This has a longer tail than peter is saying.
24
@yt.damian Ukraine is running out of people.
24
Inflated currency is not growth.
23
@stariyczedun Our European Allies aren't what they were even 20 years ago. Most have no ability to field a real army or navy.
22
You realize that people only say bots when they don't agree with what another person is saying.
21
@elroy-kq7we When the united states has inflation the world has inflation because we are the reserve currency. If we lose that (and there is a strong push by China and BRICs nations to do that) our debt will be a much bigger burdern on this country than most people can imagine.
18
Venture capital wants payoffs in 3-5 years, not 20-40.
16
I don't know about the "crummy climate", it's rainy, but you get used to it. But that's why it's so green. The people are quite nice, the food you get is always great, it is an absolutely beautiful country and let's not forget the beer. And there's nothing quite like Dublin on a Saturday night.
16
It's the flaw of having full-time legislators. 200 years ago, legislative sessions were a small portion of the year because the guys had to look after their farms or business, so they would be affected by their own laws, or lack thereof. Perhaps we should move away from full-time legislators; it would be healthier for democracy if these people couldn't earn a full-time living from sitting in a legislature.
16
@Group.B "if you live outside of NYC housing is still very affordable" Certainly you don't mean Connecticut or New Jersey. And with out-of-control pensions in NY State, the tax situation is pretty grim in NY for everybody.
16
@michaelh7770 fly all of them to the United States. They'll at least add something valuable to our country.
13
@lemdixon01 "fusion power generation is just 20 years away." Always has been, always will be.
12
@olleharstedt3750 You should look up "rationality". It doesn't mean what you think it means.
11
@ancesthntr Precisely. As long as Putin is in control, he can command more men, material, and be patient. I read that almost 3/4's of the US's reserve supplies have been used by Ukraine, and Russia hasn't even been pushed back. This is a game of attrition, and Ukraine can't afford that because the bulk of the population has melted into the EU to the west.
11
@Tom-dt4ic What's your point, that because bad things happen once in a while, the whole thing is crap? Yes, actually. You never put all your eggs into one basket when it comes to energy sources. It should be gas, diesel, electric, natural gas, propane and whatever makes the most sense for each case.
11
@arcataslacker Of course it is. You need to study more and post less.
11
@rtqii It will take 100 years for Ukraine to recover, if ever.
11
@cphilipbrown If we're trying to fill up the army and marines with women to make up for the lack of men, then we have a whole different problem.
10
2,400 dislikes and rising. I don't think he'll get ratio'd but fully 25% of people who watched it gave it a thumbs down.
10
@ent1311 "Twitter files were a nothing burger" The courts disagreed with you. They agreed the government could not coerce companies to take down protected speech online. That's actually a big delicious burger. Only an authoritarian could disagree with that.
9
@classicalmechanic8914 Not even a little.
9
@festekj It cannot. As much as I admire Musk for his views on free speech, and his creativeness with rockets, electrics cars and such, you need a baseline energy source. By definition, solar cells and batteries cannot do this in a cost-effective way.
9
@robertpesche Bingo. The current administration is prioritizing abortion over military readiness, and they're doing so for political purposes, same as Tuberville.
9
@geheimeWeltregierung Actually his words are timely as VW, Ford, GM, Honda and Toyota (i.e. the biggest automakers in the world) are retrenching on EVs and cancelling future plans to build factories. The majority of consumers right now won't buy one until range doubles, charging times are reduced by an order of magnitude, and charging is as ubiquitous as today's gas stations.
9
@aklimar2208 They'd be a great addition to our country. It would be like saying "I just found 10,000 Tons of gold". And someone saying "Well, it will cost a lot of money to bring it home".
9
@TheMrCougarful there's plenty of time. Oil will be with us for another 7 decades, more than enough time to build plenty of nuclear plants.
9
Doesn't even know the geography on one of the biggest shipping corridors on the east coast
8
@texasjack For a lot of reasons, not least of which is that when it comes to parts availability or standing behind a warranty or recall, the Chinese company will simply go bankrupt and will pop up under a new name.
8
@HR_8035_YEA Well, yes and no. At the outbreak of the war, most of the rich people in the Ukraine move into Romania taking their sons and daughters with them.
8
Because he gets his info from the CIA and other sources in the administration, so he has to parrot those lines.
8
It's bizarre people actually take TV news seriously.
8
@aurorajones8481 More like "I thought I was at Panda......." [blank staring off into the distance for 30 seconds]
8
@lucasvandermeulen4163 The easy one is that anyone who studied the polls knew Kamala was going to lose. In fact, during the course of the election, Trump was never actually behind in the polls
7
@Ayvengo21 Fusion is at least a decade into the future. Always has been, always will be.
7
Wow. Great analogy. Maybe he'll go the Cramer route and convince people to pay him money for his expertise. Frankly all you have to do with Cramer advice and do the opposite to get rich. Same for Peter
7
The only issue with Nuclear is the regulatory nightmare from the federal government to get it approved. But the good news is that it is significantly cheaper and more reliable than any other form of energy generation. People will claim that wind and solar are more cost effective, but other than people pushing there is no proof, particularly since we're finding the lifespan of wind and solar farms is 20 years, whereas the lifespan of a nuclear plant is 80+ years. Private equity has already spoken; they're funding nuclear.
7
I suspect it will happen much quicker than that. There's plenty of money there to get it cleared fairly quickly.
7
Remembers some of the battles in the Korean war where the Chinese and North Koreans kept throwing themselves at American forces to exhaust their shells and bullets. It would be curious to see if the Chinese citizenry would go along with such a strategy today.
7
@Rhythmattica First cut spending.
7
@thomaskristensen4679 Someone who believes their own ideology rather than reality. Example "We'd all be better off under socialism. Capitalism has failed".
7
@Alexadria205 "Ronald Reagan semi-privatized universities" No he didn't. He made sure the people who sent to college actually wanted to be there by no longer making college complete the responsibility of the taxpayer, but rather have the student pay 20%. There is nothing free in the world. Be honest and say "paid by the taxpayer". And not every college degree is a benefit to the economy. Most are not.
7
This will be a lesson to the crazy climatists who want to turn our economy back to something from the mid 1800's to "save the planet".
6
As soon as Biden said the taxpayers wouldn't pay, you should realize that we'll pay and pay and pay and pay.
