You realize that people only say bots when they don't agree with what another person is saying.

@arcataslacker Of course it is. You need to study more and post less.

@ent1311 "Twitter files were a nothing burger" The courts disagreed with you. They agreed the government could not coerce companies to take down protected speech online. That's actually a big delicious burger. Only an authoritarian could disagree with that.

@JakubWasikiewicz You could make that case, but the point is the use of the word "bot" basically means "I don't agree with you". It's a lazy way to try to do an ad hominem instead of addressing the substance of the remark.

@SpreadEagle6 Sounds like you don't understand free speech.

This is a case of Peter who feels he always must be the smartest guy in the room. But really his strategic takes are hit or miss. He's a "for entertainment purposes only" kind of guy.
2
@zforzone Sounds like Peter's simps really have a man crush on the guy
2
@M8Stealth Probably not. Peter is an entertainer, he makes money by making speeches.

@anthonydwyer4 Soft as a baby's bottom.

@IdesOfKnicks Bots are a lot less common that people imagine... Bots are a lot less common that people imagine... Bots are a lot less common that people imagine... Bots are a lot less common that people imagine... Bots are a lot less common that people imagine...

The guy gets some briefings from the CIA, has a few contacts in DC, and he gives speeches. It's entertainment. You wouldn't bet a dollar on any of it coming true.

@glax69 China will collapse in 10 years. That's fairly absurd.

@richardarriaga6271 Actually many companies have issued this "ultimatum" including Apple and Amazon. And I believe Microsoft as well. The ultimatum that you're complaining about is "you need to come to the office and work".

@YouTubeUpdatesAreRuiningIt it used to be easier to identify valid information Did it though? There really has never been a time when you could pick up a newspaper and be assured that everything in it was true. You certainly don't expect any TV news to give you truth. And even the CDC was prone to lying when it suited their purposes during COVID. The federal government used to work with twitter, facebook and youtube to silence dissenting views. They even established a board of disinformation (like they read 1984 and thought it was a great ideas in government handbook). What source did you ever use to identify true information in those halcyon days of virtuous information. And when were those days?
1
@sweetdragon36067 It turned out the government lied that Ivermectin didn't work
1
@RichardChappell1 It's a touchy subject because no one wants to admit they were wrong. They would rather self-immolate rather than say "yeah, I acted foolishly and had faith in the wrong people"

You know, Twitter/X is not an airport, you don't have to announce you're leaving. Actually twitter is better than it was, because now you don't have the hard-left censorship being directed by the FBI and Homeland security. Sounds like what you're really upset with is community notes, the blue checkmarks are now meaningless, and everybody is on an level playing field.
