  4. Peter, this all goes away if one thing happens, and it's reasonable: Ukraine does not become part of NATO. The whole purpose of goading Russia into war is to deplete the Russians of their weapons, and also to allow US financial interests to take control of the resources of Ukraine. Despite you trying to put a brave face on this, the EU simply doesn't have the capacity or will for war.
