If Peter's analysis is taken at face value, doesn't that essentially discredit the whole notion that Russia has designs on all of Europe?

@stariyczedun Our European Allies aren't what they were even 20 years ago. Most have no ability to field a real army or navy.

@HR_8035_YEA Well, yes and no. At the outbreak of the war, most of the rich people in the Ukraine move into Romania taking their sons and daughters with them.

That's how US special forces operated in Afghanistan, since horses are quite capable without roads.

@GoodMrFe Just keep in mind that we're getting our information filtered through the US government and US media, which particularly discredited itself over the past decade. It may be that there are no actual good guys in this fight.

@hootowl6354 I've heard not one person say they have designs on all of Europe. Where do you guys get this nonsense? Biden keeps repeating it. Now, it appears to anyone sensible that Ukraine has historically been part of Russia. And it's common knowledge the comedian in charge of Ukraine was put in place by the British. Ukraine isn't even a democracy anymore. Elections were suspended and opposition leaders were jailed. So why are we sending money and CIA/special forces to Ukraine?
