  2.  @rick323  The problem with saying "quarterly focus bad" is that it's never been proven to be true over time. Corporations exist primarily to make money for the people who own stock in the company. If you invest even a small amount, say $100k in a large company you'd want to know how it's doing quarterly, and you wouldn't accept the premise that "Yes, I'm losing money now, but someday, we'll be making lots of money".
