  1.  @anabolicamaranth7140  Michigan is fraught with bad government. A bad governor, detroit as well as incompetent leadership and has for decades. The UPers seem to be largely isolated from that, but those towns are struggling, even though they really should be doing well.

  3. The Midwest is in a great position because they have (a) an educated workforce (b) ready access to water (c) great farming (d) a great university system. You see a lot of specialty makers of aerospace parts, and a lot of high-tech parts.

  4.  @p.chuckmoralesesquire3965  Actually it was a democrat mayor that poisoned Flint, not on purpose but through incompetence. Your governor is on that level though. You probably still wear a mask to "stop the spread"
