@vicariousjohnson9823 Oh.... were all the cars running into each other in the pits a sign of stellar driving? And 5 restarts in the last 10 laps, and they kept running into each other with 10 seconds of restart.. Is this a sign of the greatest drivers in the world. Tell me you're pulling my leg. Tell me you're trolling. Please. Or at least tell me you've never watched an oval race before.

I've seen F1 cars racing at Indy several times. At least half the track. They were pretty freaking fast there. The question is whether the engines in F1 are designed to be running at full RPMs for 2 1/2 hours. And based on this last year's ridiculously bad Indy 500, the F1 drivers are clearly better (as a group).

@Kyle86910 Michael Andretti just entered the chat.

@karenkreeger9812 Well, the Indycar drivers this year kept running into each other as they left the pits, which tends to put them out of the race. But to the point, F1 can get a car in and out of the pits in just over 2 seconds, and until a few years ago they regularly refueled. And they did tires and fuel in around 7-8 seconds.

Well, let me ask you, watching the Indycar drivers just leaving the pits was farce. And on-track skill was clearly below par this year with the number of accidents on restarts.... I don't know... this is not the Indy car racing of the early 90's.

To be fair, anyone on the F1 circuit pretty much has a similar resume. Just getting a ride in F1 generally means you're at the 99.999% of drivers in the world.
