  1. I realize no one will read this, but I've had Japanese cars for decades and never an issue with Sun roofs. German cars all have problems with sun roofs. Further, the only way to fix this issue is to get a new carpet. It will get moldy. A friend bought a cheap 6 series because someone spilled something noxious on the carpet. He tried everything, but eventually he pulled all the seats out, bought new sound insulation and carpet and fixed it permanently. Cost him less than $1K to fix.
