Recall the current head of the DoD is Lloyd Austin whose qualification for the post is somewhat.... Nebulous (and that's when he doesn't suddenly go missing). And General Milley seems to be mainly concerned with "white rage", all the while missing recruiting targets. So yes, we can ignore Democrat opinions since they seem to believe in putting any hobo into the cabinet.

Kim, you're usually so smart, now you're being dumb. 1) Let's talk about Gabbard. Smart, tough, veteran who was smeared by the Democrat party. Trusted by Trump to prevent the kind of fake russia probe where the intelligence community conspired with Democrats. Tulsi will not be afraid to smack down all the 3-letter agencies as necessary. 2) Gaetz is loyal to Trump. He will ensure that the FBI is not engaged any extra-curricular smear jobs against Trump and his cabinet. It is weird that neither of you remember the past 8 years and how the DOJ conspired with multiple actors at the heart of the lawfare efforts.
