  2.  @swgeek4310  You do understand the Americans have a constitution that says government cannot interfere with free speech, it provides absolute guarantees for firearms ownership, it provides significant rights for people accused of crimes, and most importantly their constitution limits what government can do. If you find giving people their freedom as "far right", one might suggest you've become accustomed and enjoy the trap we're in as part of the EU.

  3. Chris, Trump hasn't filed for personal bankruptcy at all. He's started businesses that have failed, but that's the life of an entrepreneur. His core business of real-estate has never declared bankruptcy. So you're misinformed. The other raised by a middle-class single parent became a lawyer, prosecutor, senator, NEVER filed for bankruptcy Kamala was raised in a traditional Indian home (The name Kamala is Hindi for either "lotus" or "pale red") definitely upper middle-class, where both parents were professors (her father was a Marxist economist, and her mother, Shyamala Gopalan was a biomedical scientist ). Today she is a multimillionaire, and hasn't had to declare bankruptcy because she's always worked for the government her entire life. Begging the question, how do you become a multi millionaire working for the government?

  5.  @escottc  That's not what Trump is saying. He's saying yes, asylum seekers are fine, but economic asylum is not a real thing (and legally he is correct). And if there is legitimate concerns about persecutions, people should stay in Mexico until their case is adjudicated. In either case taxpayers should not be on the hook for paying immigrant's way in the United States.

  11.  @PrettyHarleyChickG  Actually Trump's numbers are up after the debate. If that's tanking, then he'll take that kind of tanking. You probably don't' believe that because you depend on social media to tell you who won instead of looking at the outcomes of the debate. You will be startled to know that 6 out of 10 undecided voters chose Trump after that debate, primarily because his vision for the economy was better. That what people vote for a candidate. They always have and they always will.

In fact, most are doctrinaire marxists, aside from the sciences because those fields have this weird habit of downplaying feelings and beliefs and focus on data and mathematics. In fact, if you're going to a university and you're not getting a business degree or a STEM degree, you're probably wasting your time these days such is the qualify of the American university system.

  21. Carol Anderson is off base. The Georgia Secretary of state released this statement: "Citizenship Audit Finds 1,634 Noncitizens Attempted to Register to Vote. The search found 1,634 individuals who had attempted to register to vote in Georgia despite not being citizens. In total, 2,258 voter registration applications are currently in “pending citizenship” status" Meaning yes, there were illegals registered to vote, and many illegals being directed by NGOs to register. So I'll ask a question... if everybody knows that you can't vote unless you're a citizen, why are NGOs registering illegals? What would be the purpose of that?

They're great for a college paper, or if you're citing measurable data, but if you're relying on citations from social science (which is an ironic phrase, since there is no science in social science), In this case JD Vance wrote about his personal experience from having lived the life that he referred to in his book.   38. It's hardly the "Far Right" (by definition) when the vote is that overwhelming . This is just normal people, farmers, and workers who want to be left out of the craziness of the far left governments. Accepting immigrants without vetting and ensuring they won't need taxpayer money is simple common sense. It's not a crazy position as the title implies. People aren't anti-immigrant, but they have the right to expect that the government will review their background at a minimum to ensure we're not letting in criminals. It's also not crazy to insist that a culture that has worked well for people for a thousand years is worth preserving. The Overton windows has shifted so abruptly to the left that apparently "Far Right" means anything to the right of socialism and overarching government and control of everything we do. It's anti-human to have that level of control by a government.

  45. What is more important about the Declaration of Independence it says quite plainly that rights do not come from governments. Rights are innate to people and cannot be taken away by government. Like "Free speech", this is very controversial with the left all over the world, who truly believe rights flow from elected officials.

The Declaration was a declaration of human rights that said people are endowed by the creator with inalienable rights Not from governments, not from democracy, not from culture, but those rights are innate. Further, that declaration let it be known that when governments non longer respect those rights, we have the right to overthrow that government. This was every bit as revolutionary as the Magna Carter. The treaty was just the cleanup after General Washington chase the redcoats off the continent.
