I've been bitten by the tick once. I was walking with my sister and a mate and started to feel weird then my leg started going numb and locking up. After a few minutes I couldn't stand up so my sister and my mate had to pretty much carry me home. I should of went to the doctor, but didn't, it made me pretty sick for a day or two then for about a month after I had a scabby rash on my inner thigh and around my crutch that was Extremely bad. The little bastard bit me on my right outer thigh, I only found it after my leg started going numb and pulled it off me, I would hate to imagine what more negative effects it would of had on me if I didn't find it and remove it. Also, had I been alone, I would not of been able to get home and would of been stuck laying in the paddock until someone found me or until it wore off enough for me to be able to walk again. Was not a good experience.
