  1. China are clearly playing for time, but it might be unnecessary. They can continue to grow while the US is destroyed from within by the neoconservatives. They are already close to be able to defend themselves against a conventional US attack. They may already be far too strong for the US Navy and all its proxies combined. The time will convince the rest of the world to exit the west, completing the economic destruction of the USA.
