I knew that China would manage to overcome the chip supply crisis. They were investing heavily in their high tech industries. It really was only a matter of time before they overcame any obstacles. In another two years it really wouldn’t surprise me that China will be the technological leader in silicon technology. It’s only a matter of time before South Korea and Japan buy Chinese chip fabrication equipment to protect their own industries from US sanctions.

@josephdewuhan Yes there is a huge advantage knowing it has already been solved. For example China can now also land rocket stages on floating platforms like Space X. Knowing it’s achievable does help limit where to look.

Another aspect is that Biden has also damaged western industries significantly. ASML has lost 40% of its market by sanctioning China. This means they will have reduced funding for research and development, which means they will fall even further behind China.

@Cheesecake99YearsAgo I actually think Huawei has been testing 6G for at least two years already. Yes they are rolling out 5.5G and all while the west is removing 5G and going back to 4.5G. China is getting further ahead because of incompetence in the west.
