  4. Rutte is a nutcase. Cutting social welfare programs is just going to get violent reactions. People have paid into these schemes for decades to have a decent retirement. Most employers schemes have been cut for decades and for many people are insufficient to retire on. As for unemployment benefits those are counter cyclical and will be rising significantly in Germany. I can’t see how the millions of newly unemployed Germans will stand for their unemployment benefits being slashed to fund a war. If he wants a Cold War budget then abolish the billions of welfare to corporations. The UK alone gives more than £240 billion annually to corporations in the form of loopholes.
