Because it always involves the use of power, whether military or economic or some subtler form, imperialism has often been considered morally reprehensible, and the term is frequently employed in international propaganda to denounce and discredit an opponent’s foreign policy.
Colonialism: the policy or practice of acquiring full or partial political control over another country, occupying it with settlers, and exploiting it economically.
This particular theory is in fact rooted in fascism, imperialism, and colonialism. Kurzgesagt is a channel deviated to education. They have several videos discussing the various theories as to why human beings haven’t made contact with extraterrestrials yet. Just because this particular theory is rooted in fascism, imperialism and colonialism doesn’t mean Kurzgesagt and the people involved in the channel support these ideologies. In fact, removing their personal bias from theories, including theories they may not agree with on a personal level, goes against fascism, imperialism and colonialism (which is all about censorship and heavily controlled information and propaganda that supports the power/s in charge), and is just good science and professionalism. They’re here to educate and inform, not comment on whether they agree with it or not.
