Sad comment. 7% is still horrendous.

Come on, how is this uniquely a Conservative issue? How would it be any different under any other party?

@wolvo5441 Not really. I'd rather pay the premium to live in the UK over SA.

Grow up. This is nothing to do with Brexit.

@stephenlowton1911 Yep, even the Netherlands is at 10.3 right now.

@Silver-st2zq Greed? What's it got to do with greed? It's called a return on investment.
3
Nope.
2
@johnrussell3961 Totally false. The UK has complete sovereignty, including over money supply and rates. Unlike EU members.... How will the Netherlands tackle double digit inflation when all the ECB is offering is 0.5%? Games up pal!!
2
@lolcatjunior So? Back to the question at hand. What does this inflation have to do with Brexit?
2
Compared to what? Any average household will feel a 10% squeeze on their margins.
2
@TheSuperPsychoKiller False. Their hand would be forced, the energy companies purchase energy from the same wholesale markets. They are not responsible for the prices on the whole. The industry would not cope with such caps and thus either it would fold or need bailing out with yet MORE government debt (taxpayers money). All parties are responsible, this is not a partisan issue.
2
@Silver-st2zq As they should.

@CXOXMXAXR While I can understand the general resentment, I don't see how it makes any difference that the Converatives are in power on the issue of inflation. I don't believe, judging by their previous support for the Conservatives, how any other party would be any different. This is bigger, way bigger, than political partisanship.

@thehumancanary131 Exports to who? What does the UK have that they want? Where will they find the money for it? Can the competition undercut? Expand your miiiiiiinnnnnnndddddd......

@thehumancanary131 So? Regurgitating data isn't an argument.
1
Yet people here want to make out it's exclusively a 'Tory' caused problem....
1
@zefiv8664 Or Turkey!!
1
@Silver-st2zq How so?
1
@nigelslatcher8761 So? That's relevant how? Jacinda Ardens far left regime is now experiencing 7.3%? This is WAY bigger than parochial partisan politics.
1
@JG-nx3jg Not an argument.
1
@Silver-st2zq Meaningless comment.
1
@Silver-st2zq Yet another meaningless comment. Try and actually articulate a coherent argument.
