  2. For thousands of years societies have been subjected to the sin and repent protection racket. A natural phenomena occurs that is unfavourable and the public at large are blamed for it as a punishment for being sinners. Repentance is only achieved by handing over sacrifices in the form of goods, treasures and resources. One would of thought that in the age of reason after the enlightenment and the scientific method we would be freed from our extortion and exploitation by mysticism and superstition. Where did it all go wrong? It seems they hijacked and corrupted the science....

  4.  @bizda_eng_arzoni  Where they came from is not the point. The issue of contention is why. Reason has shown they are processes that are indifferent to humans.

  5.  @Dave5843-d9m  Totally agree, the universe appears indifferent to our plight. And thus I want compensation for the human condition of the self awareness of our mortality and predicament. A life that is nasty, brutish and short is not good enough. Not at all.
