A thorough independent investigation has to be undertaken to establish exactly how this insult to due process has occured. It is becoming clearer that ideological fanaticism has marched through the institutions and taken hold of the levers of power. It is becoming clearer that we are being subjected to asymmetrical ideological warfare. This is an absolute disgrace.

  2.  @beanchers8501  Wow. No, juries don't decide based on opinions. They decide based on the evidence and the rule of law. They are meant to be impartial, as is the judge. Observing the judges comments, they are far from impartial. There appears to be something wrong with your world view. There is NO precedent here. Please direct me to the legislation or case law that asserts otherwise?

  9.  @songsmith31a  Very good summary. And thus astonishing they got away with this as a defence if this is the case. Because the normal civic attempts to remove the statue had failed. The public had decided to keep it. Twice. Thus its very difficult to see where they conjured up this alleged 'consent'. This is an absolute travesty. Probably one of the worst judgements in UK law I've seen in a very long time.
