The thing with this 'history' is it's one sided! The stories always sound like fantasy, propaganda produced at the time and were repeated today. If you know the whole story, see the big picture of the war, this fantasy stories and propaganda would never add up. The Korean troops alone numbered 350000, plus 550000 US troops, plus Saigon regime's 1.2 million conventional and local forces troops, and they all could kill the VCs like rats, but somehow for 3 years, they hadn't finished 250000 VCs in the South, and lead to the Tet Offensive that saw them brazenly attacking all the towns and cities! The only thing that makes sense is they must've had the ability to spawn from death like in video games. These kinds of stupid childish propaganda stories had made the people at the time become frustrated and angry because they felt they were fooled by the war party to the point that they had to take it to the street to end the war.
