Even if Russia decides to gang up with the US against China, it's only fair because China had done the exact same thing against Russia and the whole socialist bloc, and so helped bringing them down. China is the undisputed turncoat of the 20th century. Today the Chinese still think that's the right thing to do. They will sell out their friends again as long as the price is right. That's why they always worry about somebody doing the same thing to them.

@Linn-1269If you don't believe me, ask a Chinese about if he/she thinks about China's ganging up with the US against the USSR and the socialist bloc as a whole in the Cold War as a betrayal, they would say NO. They would say in international relations, there are really no friends or foes, only interests. How could they betray someone if they have no friends? Those were just necessary moves to advance their self interests, so that's all what matters to them. If they have to make that choice again, they'll do it again in a heartbeat. Deng Xiaoping is revered in China for that act. The Chinese thinking is very close if not identical to western imperialists.
