  2. Although the full race is 161 laps, co driver relief has been mandated for near fifty years. Enforced limits on how long a driver is allowed to continually drive has set back many teams when miscalculated. Only safe way given the physical stress of the cars and pace these days.

  4. Usually you get comments knocking a driver or other personality. Not for Mark Larkham though. Tells you something about how he is regarded Yet when Seven network outbid the Ten network for the race, they dropped him. Took a little while till Seven had to take him on again, realising the big mistake they made.

  5. Get yourself a hard drive and record all three days of coverage to watch when you get home. I do this even though I have never been to Bathurst. Watched every year since the first nationwide broadcast in 1969.
