  1. The US likely has more standing start racing than anywhere in the world. Hard for many to imagine , but then they are not thinking about drag racing. Agree that once you go to any form of circuit racing then the standing start races on any form of US circuit racing is so much rarer. The only ones I can think of is when F1 events are run in the US Drag racing so widespread in the US that most even small towns have events for street cars if they are not too fast to be judged safe.
